Microsoft Excel 2007 Facts
When you first open our software with Excel 2007 a few warnings may display
depending on how your Office version has been configured.
The first most common one is the Analysis ToolPak warning. Most of the
templates use this Excel Addin to perform date calculations. This Addin is
shipped with Excel but is not part of the default installation, please read the
instructions for Installing Analysis ToolPak if you are
receiving the Analysis ToolPak warning.
The second message you may receive will occur when you are saving files. This
has to do with the new default file format "Excel Workbook (*.xlsx)" in
Excel 2007. Our templates do not support this format, they will only work in
Excel 2007's "Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook (*.xlsm)" format. Again most of the
spreadsheets use Macro's to perform some calculations. If you are receiving
compatibility warnings when saving files please see the section below on
Compatibility Warning / Saving as Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook (.xlsm).
Thirdly you will need to Enable Macros. Instructions on How to Enable
Macros for Excel 2007 can be found below.
